Inclusion in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars List
Attorney Sonya Tien has been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list 6 times. In order to be included in this list, attorneys must be nominated by others in the legal field and must go through an extensive review process. Super Lawyers uses peer nominations and evaluations as well as third-party research to determine which lawyers are eligible for inclusion.
After an attorney has been nominated, the attorney is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and personal achievement. The attorneys are rated 1 through 10 on each indicator. Only those who are in the highest bracket according to their scores are granted inclusion on the Super Lawyers list. While up to 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list. We are proud to consistently receive recognition from Super Lawyers by including Sonya Tien as a Rising Star.
