The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 is a professional organization composed of the top trial attorney from each state or region who are under the age of 40. Selection is based on a thorough, multi-phase process, which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research to ensure those selected are of the highest caliber in their field.

As a result of her work, Sonya continues to receive local and national recognitions, such as being named a Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers for the past two years. Sonya’s work has also been published in the Wall Street Lawyer and Practising Law Institute.
